How to: Change the mouse double-click speed.
Solution:
Select 'Settings' and 'Control Panel'. Double-clicking the 'Mouse' icon, and adjust the slider.
1) Click the 'Start' button to display the 'Start' menu.
2) Select 'Settings' and select 'Control Panel'. (The 'Control Panel' window appears.)
3) Double-click the 'Mouse' icon. (The 'Mouse Properties' dialog box appears.)
4) If necessary, click the 'Buttons' tab.
5) Click on the slider bar in the 'Double-click speed' group and do one of the following:
a) To slow down the double-click speed, move the slider to the left.
b) To speed up the double-click speed, move the slider to the right.
6) Click 'Apply'.
7) Test the new settings by clicking on the icon in the 'Test area' group.
8) Repeat steps 5) through 7) until the desired double-click speed is reached.
9) Click 'OK'.
